About My Library

My books are pretty much split between modern fiction, design/typography, very random non-fiction, and cooking. For years 475 of them were packed into exactly fifteen 10" x 12" x 15" boxes in an attic in Durham, North Carolina. Finally those have been condensed down to a couple of boxes and are on their way to me in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand, to join the 800 already here. Looking forward to having them all in one place, the first time since I went overseas in 1999.

About Me

I’m a Wikipedian, and have done a couple of stints as Aotearoa Wikipedian at Large, but I trained as a biologist have been a museum curator, working on moa bones and beetles. I like the ukulele, drawing, card weaving, making pine needle baskets, and hiking in the New Zealand bush.
