This wasn't quite as much fun as the first book, but I think that was mainly because the shiny newness had worn off. It's still a great knitting book, filled with lots of fun and funky patterns. The opening segment on adapting patterns to suit your individual desires was a bit dense, but I found it informative and helpful nonetheless. The little spotlights on knitting groups from across the US and around the world were also a lot of fun to read, and some of the tips are really helpful.

Stoller's second book has lots great knitting patterns for less traditional knitters. One of my big complaints was the excessive poncho/capelet patterns (which I feel are too trendy to want in a book). Over all the patterns are interesting and there is a variety of difficulty levels. I enjoyed SnB more, but this was worth buying.
ANother good book for beginning knitters. I recommend this book for reference purposes and not so much for the patterns.
I liked most of the patterns in this book, but what I found most helpful are the tips scattered through the book and the guidelines for modifying patterns. For some reason, the idea of ratios between the pattern and my actual gauge never crossed my mind until I read the beginning of this book.

Kudos, Debbi Stoller!
Greatest knitting book ever. Maybe I just have a soft spot in my heart because it was the first knitting book I ever owned, but it is a wonderful collection of patterns and helpful tips.
I bought this book because as a beginning knitter I fell in love with the original Stitch 'n Bitch. There are more hints, diagrams and stories about different groups and they are just as interesting as in the original but most of the patterns are not what I would necessarily use. Most are probably more attractive to a younger person.
Explains basic techniques pretty well, and presents some interesting, non-traditional projects. I made the beaded skull wristband for my son (combines counted cross-stich, beading, and knitting techniques).
