About My Library
Mi biblioteca comprende obras en español, inglés y francés, en versión original o traducidas, sobre los temas recogidos en las etiquetas (see all tags). Se disponen cinco colecciones: Your library, Comics (Co), Filmoteca (F), e-books (e) y Recordings (R). Las etiquetas ayudan a encontrar la clasificación por temas. Se identifican también las ediciones de la Folio Society de Londres. En la colección Comics (Co) el idioma influye en la clasificación. La etiqueta manga reúne obras ya estén traducidas o en japonés. Las historietas y álbumes en el francés original se etiquetan BD. En Filmoteca (F) se recoge la obra cinematográfica con datos muy escuetos sobre director, año de estreno, título original si es el caso y brevísima alusión al tema. No se especifica el idioma del filme pues, en la mayoría de los casos, el formato es multilingüe además de incluir subtítulos. Mi cuarta colección, e-books (e), es de libros en formato electrónico. Los archivos se identifican mediante una portada genérica de color azul. La quinta colección, Recordings (R), está formada por grabaciones en formato DVD, CD y LP.

Los nombres dados a las etiquetas no se repiten en las colecciones; así pues, hay sinónimos para categorías y temas que son similares. Por ejemplo, el título de la novela Pride and Prejudice (su traducción al español, Orgullo y prejuicio, también está catalogada) figura en cuatro versiones y se encuentra catalogado en Fiction, Pictoliterature (Co), Romance (F) y Narrative (e) como libro, adaptación a novela gráfica, adaptación cinematográfica y versión electrónica. La indicación entre paréntesis permite identificar la colección a la que pertenece la etiqueta.

En cuanto a los libros, me gustan las ediciones bien hechas, de buena calidad. Considero que el libro es un objeto digno de poseer y respetar como obra de arte, y que su impresión y encuadernación ofrecen grandes alicientes estéticos, pero (con ciertas excepciones) no soy coleccionista de libros antiguos o raros ni de ediciones limitadas.

My library includes books in Spanish, English and French, in original and/or translated texts, on subjects classified as shown by the tags. There are five collections: Your library, Comics (Co), Filmoteca (F), e-books (e) and Recordings (R). London's Folio Society editions are also tagged. In the Comics (Co) collection language has a bearing. There is a separate tag for manga whether translated or in Japanese. Comics and albums published in original editions in French are tagged BD. In the film library, Filmoteca (F), there is summary data on director, première year, original title in some cases and a very brief description of plot. No language is indicated for a film since the format in most cases is multilingual and also includes subtitles. My fourth collection, e-books (e), includes books in electronic format. Files are identified by a blue generic cover. My fifth collection, Recordings (R), comprises DVDs, CDs and LPs.

Names given to tags are not repeated in the collections, so synonyms apply for categories or themes that are judged similar. For instance, the title of the novel Pride and Prejudice (the Spanish translation, Orgullo y prejuicio, is also in the collection) will be found in four different places: Fiction, Pictoliterature (Co), Romance (F) and Narrative (e), i.e. book, sequential drawing version, film adaptation and electronic text. The collection identification is shown between brackets.

Regarding my books, I like well made, quality editions. I find that a book is a worthy object to own and respect as a work of art, and its printing and binding provide inestimable aesthetic values; however I do not collect (with some exceptions) old or rare books nor limited editions.
